The blog of Suspended Animation reviewer Mark Allen. Suspended Animation is a 20+ year old comics review column. Conceived and created by Michael Vance, it is now in the semi-capable hands of yours truly. It is syndicated bi-weekly, and available to sites seeking regular content. F.C.C. is also the first fan site of the Oklahoma Cartoonists Collection, which seeks to collect, preserve and publicly display the work of Oklahoma comics writers, artists, and their associates.

The Best of Four Color Comics Covers
Produced by Mark Allen, with music by Kevin MacLeod of Incompetech.
From 1939 to 1962, Dell's anthology series, Four Color Comics, published over 1,300 issues. To this day, it still holds the record of most issues published for a title, even over Detective Comics and Action Comics. Be it due to exceptional composition, extraordinary mood, the story told by a single picture, or all of the above, these are, in my opinion, the best covers produced for the series.
